NT is set to kick off a new advertising campaign that will span several media, including television, radio, print and billboards.

The campaign, which will cost about $675,000 from NT advertising funds, is the largest of its kind that the university has put forward, said Rolando Rivas, director of integrated branding in university relations, communications and marketing.

SMU moved up one spot from 67 to 66 in the newest U.S. News & World Report rankings of colleges and universities. SMU is tied with Miami University in Oxford, Ohio; Purdue University;the University of Connecticut and the University of Iowa. All five schools are designated as "tier one" schools with a score of 47.

Melissa Ruud McGuire, the student life director at NT and adviser for the SGA, added that the rules are not completely clear on grants but said they specifically mention scholarships.
